    * and the loss rate of packets.

The VoIP technology has extremely developed, the call quality of VoIP calls today is higher than a conventional analog telephone line.

With VoIP, the voice over a microphone is included analog and converted into digital signals. These will be sent via different routes to the receiver. There, the digital signals to land in a buffer, a converter reads the data back from analog.

A connection between a landline and a VoIP phone needs a network computer, called the Gateway. This network computer is connected between the computer network and telephone line and can signals emanating from these two points, "translate" for each other.
